From notation to your next session
TradMate is an offline notation, practice and accompaniment companion for Irish traditional musicians. Bring your ABC tunes together, organise sets and setlists, follow the score and practise with a multi-instrument ensemble generated on your device.
A set is a sequence of tunes played together, usually repeating each tune before moving on. A setlist brings several sets into an ordered practice or listening session.

Organise the tunes you want to play
Search your local library by title, filter by dance type, compare tune versions and keep favourites and zero-to-five-star ratings. Paste ABC notation or import a compatible CSV through the system file picker, with validation and preview before saving.
Build sets of up to nine tunes and setlists of up to twenty sets. Choose tune versions, order, repeats and tempo. Player Mode adds a continuous queue, previous and next navigation, looping, shuffled sets and queue reordering. Playback positions are saved; reopening the app does not start sound automatically.
Read, listen and practise on one timeline
Staff, numbered and ABC notation share the same playback timeline. Follow highlighted notes, scroll through the score, seek by bar, move the paused position and use a practice count-in. Choose Light, Dark or System appearance. The app supports English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese and Korean; dance names remain in English.
Shape your accompaniment
Choose tin-whistle lead or no lead, supported by piano, guitar, fiddle, button accordion and bodhrán. Adjust instrument volume, panning, dynamics, ornaments, harmonic richness, human feel and density, together with reverb, dynamic range and EQ.
Piano separates left- and right-hand roles; guitar uses strumming; fiddle and button accordion balance melodic guidance and support by phrase; bodhrán follows the dance’s beat groups and phrase endings. Pickup notes, repeats, tune transitions and set endings belong to a single performance timeline.
Music generated on your device
TradMate reads ABC notation, parses pitches, timing and repeats, analyses harmony and generates instrument parts using dance-specific and instrument-specific rules. Note and controller events trigger bundled instrument samples to synthesise the performance locally. It does not download a pre-recorded backing track for each tune.
Share sets or setlists, export generated ensemble PDF scores, or render and encode an MP3 performance on the device. Accompaniment settings control the playing character; this release does not include an arbitrary rule-script editor.
Historical examples and responsible use
The Build 74 introduction describes three new transcriptions from Francis O’Neill’s The Dance Music of Ireland (1907): The Irishwoman (#317), Drowsy Maggie (#662), and a first-strain excerpt of The Rights of Man (#811). The source scan is not bundled. Modern arrangements with the same titles may have different rights. View the historical source.
Import notation you are authorised to use. Core data and sound generation stay on the device; deliberate system sharing passes selected content to your chosen service. Local generation does not remove the licence obligations of notation or samples or automatically grant redistribution rights.

Session 中，几首曲目按顺序连续演奏，组成一个 Set（组曲）；每首通常重复几遍，再接下一首。Setlist（播单）把多个组曲按顺序组织起来，用于安排练习或连续聆听。
整理自己的曲库
按曲名搜索，按舞曲类型筛选，管理曲目版本、收藏与 0–5 星评分。可粘贴 ABC，或通过系统文件选择器导入符合协议的 CSV，保存前先验证和预览。
每个组曲最多 9 首，每个播单最多 20 个组曲，曲目版本、顺序、重复次数和速度均可设置。播放器模式支持连续队列、上一曲与下一曲、循环、随机组曲和队列排序，并保存中断位置；重新打开应用不会自动发声。
在同一时间线上看谱、聆听与练习
五线谱、简谱与 ABC 谱共用播放时间线，支持音符高亮、谱面滚动、小节定位、暂停时拖动进度和练习倒计时。显示可选浅色、深色或跟随系统；界面支持简体中文、繁体中文、英文、日文和韩文，舞曲类型名称保留英文。
调整多乐器伴奏
可选择哨笛主奏或无主奏，搭配钢琴、吉他、提琴、按钮手风琴与爱尔兰鼓。各乐器可调整音量、声像、力度、装饰、和弦丰富程度、拟人感和密度，并配合混响、动态范围与 EQ。
钢琴区分左右手，吉他使用扫弦，提琴与按钮手风琴按乐句协调旋律和支撑，爱尔兰鼓按拍组与句尾组织鼓型。弱起、反复、曲间转场与组曲结尾共用同一演奏时间线。
根据曲谱在本机生成音乐
TradMate 解析 ABC 的音高、时值、反复与速度，分析和声，再根据舞曲类型和各乐器规则生成伴奏声部。音符与控制器事件触发随包采样，在设备上合成完整演奏，而不是为每首曲目下载预录伴奏。
可分享组曲或播单，导出生成的 PDF 总谱，并在本机渲染和编码 MP3 演奏。伴奏方案用于调整演奏倾向，本版不提供任意规则脚本编辑器。
